In front of House No. B-45, Gali No. 3, Shastri Nagar, within the jurisdiction of Vijay Nagar Police Station, Ghaziabad.


5. Brief Facts of the Case (As stated by the Complainant):

Today on 02/03/2026, the complainant Rahul Sharma appeared in person at the Police Station Vijay Nagar and submitted a written complaint stating that he is a permanent resident of the above-mentioned address and is residing there with his family.

He stated that on 01/03/2026 at about 08:00 PM, after returning from his workplace, he parked his motorcycle outside his residence in the usual parking space located near the entrance gate of his house. The details of the vehicle are as follows:

  • Make & Model: Hero Splendor Plus

  • Colour: Black

  • Registration No.: UP14 AB 1234

  • Engine No.: XXXXXXXX

  • Chassis No.: XXXXXXXX

He further stated that he properly locked the motorcycle using the handle lock and an additional wheel lock for safety purposes. After parking the vehicle, he went inside his house and did not come out during the night.

On 02/03/2026 at about 07:30 AM, when he came outside his house to go to his office, he found that his motorcycle was missing from the place where it had been parked. Initially, he assumed that one of his family members might have taken it, but upon inquiry, he came to know that no one had used the motorcycle during the night.

He immediately searched for the vehicle in the nearby streets and surrounding locality but could not find it anywhere. He also made inquiries from neighbours and nearby shopkeepers, but no one could provide any information regarding the missing motorcycle.

The complainant suspects that some unknown person(s) committed theft of his motorcycle during the intervening night of 01/03/2026 and 02/03/2026 with dishonest intention.

He further stated that there are CCTV cameras installed in some houses and shops in the locality and requested the police to check the CCTV footage to identify the culprit. He also requested that necessary legal action be taken against the unknown accused person(s) and his stolen motorcycle be recovered at the earliest.

The complaint was read over to the complainant and found to be correctly recorded as per his statement.

One motorcycle (Hero Splendor Plus, Black Colour, Registration No. UP14 AB 1234)
Approximate value: ₹75,000/-


7. Action Taken:

On the basis of the written complaint submitted by the complainant Rahul Sharma, a case under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at Police Station Vijay Nagar against unknown person(s).

The investigation of the case has been entrusted to Sub-Inspector Vikrant Singh for further necessary legal action.

During the course of investigation, the following steps shall be taken:

  1. Visit the spot and prepare a site plan at the instance of the complainant.

  2. Examine the complainant and record his detailed statement under Section 161 Cr.P.C.

  3. Make inquiries from neighbours and local residents.

  4. Collect and examine CCTV footage from nearby houses, shops, and main road.

  5. Circulate the details of the stolen motorcycle through ZIPNET and other police networks.

  6. Inform nearby police stations and vehicle checking units.

  7. Make efforts to trace and recover the stolen vehicle and apprehend the accused person(s).
